Life In Transito, Ergo Sum Rick Millikan Though I'd rather be cycling to work or better yet in the Loire Valley, the Vancouver Skytrain offers another welcome option to city grid lock. Plus, a scenic perspective is always provided. Riding rhythmic rails can inspire journals of jour- neys and tales. I ride, ergo I think. Lives exist in transit. Today my laptop feels the keystrokes of a heartfelt tirade to rally rage against an auto age. Odious odes are unloaded to erode and explode those auto motives. Hopefully, such a moving opus inspires hope for us. It's not clear where my fellow passengers are going, meta- physically or functionally. Before I get off at my stop to see my honey, I speculate. Could fellow passengers be ardent shoppers prepared for mall mayhem? In the spirit of this green express, I hope not. It's more likely all of us are work- ers that may build a better tomorrow. Our first step today was boarding this train. We all could be students studying human progress, reading the writing on the wall, and em- powering a green consciousness with our own life journeys. So what are we? Sky Trainees, Life Cyclers Whatever we are, we're not in a car, Stylishly infatuated, encapsulated, isolated ... Where we are, carries us far .. Moving together in time, space and mindfulness ...
